How Mimoto works
Mimoto checks, all session long, that the person at the keyboard is a real human and the right human. It works in three steps: Analyze, Verify, Enforce.
Mimoto recognizes and responds in real time when
Is it the right person?
Mimoto continuously analyzes and responds to the “simple” questions: Is it human? Is it the right human, machine, or agent?
Here’s how:
1. Signals
How a person types and moves, how they use their apps, their device and connection, and the session context. How, never what.
2. Two engines
Advanced pattern matching and anomaly detection: a policy engine applies your rules, and a machine learning engine compares behavior with the person’s own profile.
3. Verdict
Verified: the right person, working as usual. Known, at risk: the right person, acting out of pattern. Unknown: another person or an AI agent.
4. Response
On a mismatch, Mimoto responds in real time and sends its signals to your SIEM and other SOC tools.
Step 1
Analyze
Mimoto compares each session with the person’s own profile, built over time. No single signal decides anything.
How you work, never what you do. Mimoto never stores keystrokes as text, so it is not surveillance, it works in any language, and it cannot be breached for what it never held.
Step 2
Verify
From those signals, Mimoto answers two questions continuously, not once at authentication. Is this a real human, or an AI agent? Is it the specific authorized person?
It catches insider threats, inauthentic workers, and hijacked sessions, even when the person has valid credentials.
Why an AI agent gets caught
Some AI agents are built to act like people. So Mimoto never rests on one tell, such as typing, that an agent could copy. It asks whether this is the right person, not just a person.
Step 3
Enforce
Mimoto responds in real time, only as far as the risk warrants, so a real user working normally never feels it.
A dial, not a switch: low risk to high risk
Session 2C71
- Monitor Keep verifying in the background.
- Re-verify Ask the person to confirm it is them.
- Restrict Limit what the session can reach.
- End the session Close it and notify your team.
Respond in real time
A real-time response is alerts and enforcement together. Mimoto enforces natively, from a re-verify to ending the session, and alerts go to your SIEM and other SOC tools and to your team in Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, PagerDuty, email, or any channel your team prefers. No rip and replace.
Watch it catch a hijacked session
A user steps away and leaves the session open. Someone else takes over: valid credentials, same device, wrong human. Mimoto recognizes it and responds in real time.
Frequently asked questions
What signals does Mimoto use?
Mimoto considers up to 26 data streams. New data streams resulting from new integrations are added regularly.
Does Mimoto work with my current security stack?
Mimoto is integrated with tools throughout the security stack, including but not limited to leading vendors in IAM, PAM, SIEM, and MDM.
Where does it run?
Mimoto can deploy anywhere you want it. It doesn’t need to be everywhere. That means it can deploy on an edge device, embedded in a web application, or on-premises in a private cloud or data center.
What is the end-user experience?
Mimoto is non-intrusive. It works continuously in the background. With Mimoto, end users don’t need to turn it on or adjust it. It’s just there.
